Born November 7, 1950, the son of Francis J. and Ellene J. Coryer of Plattsburgh, was ordained a priest on May 1, 1982 in Ogdensburg, New York. He holds a Associate of Arts Degree from Clinton Community College, Bachelor of Arts from Don Bosco College, and a Master of Divinity from Christ the King Seminary.
His assignments have included: pastoral associate, St. Patrick’s Church, Watertown; St. Bernard’s Church, Saranac Lake; Catholic Chaplin for North Country Community College; Holy Name and St. Matthew’s, AuSable Forks; St. Augustine Church, Peru; Notre Dame, Malone; Liaison to the Bishop for the Charismatic Renewal; St. John the Baptist and Immaculate Conception Parishes of Keeseville; Pastor: St. Henry, DeKalb Junction, St. Rene Goupil, Russell, Sacred Heart, Edwards; Church of the Assumption, Redford; and St. George, Burke and St. Patrick’s, Chateaugay.
